Bonnet release leverLocking the vehicle:Manually lock entire vehicle usingthe key in driver’s door.To lock entire vehicle using remotecontrol press button e.Anti-theft locking system:To activate: Press button e onremote control twice.Warning: Do not use this system ifthere are people in the vehicle, asthe doors cannot be unlocked frominside.Electronic immobiliser:The immobiliser is automaticallyactivated when the key is turned tothe LOCK position and removedfrom the ignition switch.The immobiliser does not lock thedoors. Therefore, after leaving thevehicle, always lock it.Opening the tailgate:To open the tailgate, press thebutton below the handle afterunlocking the vehicle.Unlocking the vehicle:Turn key once to manually unlockthe doors.To unlock all doors, press buttonÄ on remote control. Press buttonÅ to unlock rear doors / loadcompartment only.Vehicle securityDemisting and defrosting thewindows: Set the air recirculation mode4 off. Set the temperature control tothe warmest level. Switch cooling n on. Set the air distribution control toV. Set the fan speed to the highestlevel. Switch heated rear window Üon.Air conditioning: Set the air recirculation mode4 on. Set the temperature control tothe coolest level. Switch cooling n on. Set the air distribution control toM. Set the fan speed to the highestlevel.Starting the engine: Turn key to MAR position Move steering wheel slightly torelease steering wheel lock Manual transmission in neutralwith clutch depressed Do not accelerate Diesel engines: turn key toposition MAR for preheatingand wait for ! to extinguish Turn key to AVV position andrelease when engine is runningTurn the key to MAR position androtate steering wheel slightly torelease lock.Stop-start system:The stop-start system helps to savefuel and reduce exhaust emissions,and is available as soon as theengine is started.Stop-start system activation:If the vehicle is at low speed or instandstill, activate an Autostop asfollows:1. Depress the clutch pedal.2. Shift the selector lever to N.3. Release the clutch pedal.The engine will be switched offwhile the ignition stays on.Autostop is indicated when ^illuminates in the instrumentcluster.To restart the engine, depress theclutch pedal again.Stop-start system deactivation:Deactivate the stop-start systemmanually by pressing the button inthe centre console. Engine must be at operating temperature and switched off for at least10 minutes.Pull out dipstick, wipe it clean, insert to the stop on the handle, pull out and read engine oil level.Insert dipstick to stop on handle and make half a turn.Caution:It is the owner’s responsibility to maintain the correct level of an appropriate quality oil in the engine. |
