Do not fill in too muchEasyGlide, i.e. ensure that no EasyGlide drips into thecoating material container.4.2 Control Panel IndicatorsThe following is a description of the control panelindicators.Pressure IndicatorThe pressure indicator shows the current operatingpressure of the sprayer. It has three differentindications: blinking yellow, solid yellow, and solidgreen.Blinking YellowWhen the pressure indicator is blinking yellow, thesprayer is operating between 0 and 1.4 MPa. A blinkingyellow pressure indicator means:• The sprayer is plugged in and turned “ON”• The sprayer is at priming pressure (little or nopressure)• It is safe to move the relief valve between positions• It is safe to change or replace the spray tipIf the pressure indicator begins blinking yellowwhen the pressure control knob is set at a higherpressure and the relief valve is in the SPRAY posi-tion, either the spray tip is worn or the sprayer isin need of service/repair.imax.23MPaÜ 12 M PaÜ 23 M PaSER V IC EPN 0 5 518 8 3PressureIndicatorServiceIndicatorProSpray 22 31g Starting operationSolid YellowWhen the pressure indicator is solid yellow, the sprayeris operating between 1.4 and 12 MPa. A solid yellowpressure indicator means:• The sprayer is at the proper pressure setting forspraying stain, lacquer, varnish, and multi-colors• If the pressure indicator goes to solid yellow whenthe pressure is set so that it starts at solid green, itindicates one of the following:a. Tip Wear Indicator — when spraying with latex orat high pressure the solid yellow appears. Thismeans the tip is worn and needs to be replaced.b. Tip Too Large — when a tip that is too large forthe sprayer is put in the gun, the pressureindicator will turn from solid green to solid yellow.c. Fluid Section Wear — if a solid yellow pressureindicator appears when using a new tip and thepressure is set at maximum, service may berequired (worn packings, worn piston, stuck valve,etc...).Solid GreenWhen the pressure indicator is solid green, the sprayeris operating between 12 and 23 MPa. A solid greenpressure indicator means:• The sprayer is at the proper pressure setting forspraying oil-based and latex house paints• The sprayer is operating at peak performance at ahigh pressure settingService IndicatorThe Service indicator is on when the motor iscommanded to run. This indicator is used by servicecenters to troubleshoot motor problems.4.3 Pressure control knob settings(Fig. 5)1. Minimum pressure setting2. Yellow zone – From minimum pressure to 120 bar(12 MPa)3. Green zone – From 120 bar (12 MPa) to 230 bar(23 MPa)4 White zone – no pressure generation5.
