If an I/O module is mounted on the DIN-rail, application of an AC voltagebetween the DIN-rail and at least one of these two potentials can lead to thedestruction of the module.Use only direct current (DC) for insulation testing. To avoid destroying the I/Omodule, you must discharge it completely before applying the test voltage again.
