These receptacles are protected by the GFCI.To attach a power cord to a twist-lock receptacle, insert plug intoreceptacle and turn it clockwise to lock it in place.3.13 Engine Auto IdleThe auto idle switch (b) automatically reduces engine speedapproximately 7 seconds after all appliances or tools attached to thegenerator have been turned off. The engine automatically returns tofull speed when a tool or appliance is turned back on.To turn the auto idle feature on, push the auto idle switch to “AUTO”.The AUTO setting is recommended while the generator is running tominimize fuel consumption. To avoid extended engine warm-upperiods, keep switch set to “OFF” when starting the engine and untilthe engine reaches operating temperature.3.14 Engine SpeedGenerators require a fixed engine speed to maintain the correctvoltage. Engine speed is controlled by a governor which automaticallyadjusts to varying loads on the engine to maintain a constant speed.See Technical Data. There is no throttle control.
