APPENDICESPage 7APPENDICESCARING FOR CINTIQPARTNERKeep your CintiqPartner tablet clean. Dust and dirt particles can stick to CintiqPartner and cause wearto the tablet surface. Regular cleaning with a soft, damp cloth will help prolong the life of your tabletsurface; you can also dampen the cloth using a very mild soap diluted with water. Do not use paintthinner, benzine, alcohol, or other solvents as they may damage the plastic case.Keep your tablet in a clean, dry place and avoid extremes in temperature. Room temperature is best.Also, the CintiqPartner tablet is not made to come apart. Taking apart the product will void yourwarranty.UNINSTALLING CINTIQPARTNERTo remove only the CintiqPartner tablet from your system:1. Unplug CintiqPartner from your computer.2. Open the Wacom Tablet control panel. From the REMOVE menu, select TABLET ....3. In the dialog box that appears, make the appropriate choices to remove CintiqPartner, and click OK.To fully remove the Wacom tablet software and CintiqPartner from your system:Windows XP: Click START. In the start menu, select CONTROL PANEL . Then select ADD OR REMOVEPROGRAMS. In the ADD OR REMOVE PROGRAMS window, choose WACOM TABLET DRIVER and click on theCHANGE /REMOVE button. Follow the prompts to remove the tablet driver. When the tablet driver hasbeen removed, unplug the tablet from your computer.Windows 98, Me, or 2000:1. Click the Windows START button. Then choose SETTINGS and CONTROL PANEL .2. In the CONTROL PANEL window, double-click on the ADD /REMOVE PROGRAMS icon. In the dialog boxthat appears, choose the Wacom tablet option.3. Click on the ADD /REMOVE... button and follow the prompts to remove the Wacom tablet driver.When the tablet driver has been removed, unplug the tablet from your computer.Macintosh OS X, v10.1.5 or greater: From the FINDER, choose APPLICATIONS from the GO menu andopen the Tablet folder. Double-click on the REMOVE TABLET icon and select the REMOVE TABLETSOFTWARE button. After the removal is completed, click OK. Then unplug your tablet from thecomputer.Macintosh OS 9:1. Run the Wacom Tablet Installer (either from the Wacom Tablet CD or from your latest tablet driverdownload).2. Select the INSTALL button and CONTINUE through the prompts until you reach the tablet driverinstallation dialog box. Then select the REMOVE button and follow the prompts.3. Unplug the tablet from your computer.Important: When you remove the Wacom tablet software from your system, any other Wacomtablet connected to your computer (such as the Cintiq Interactive Pen Display) will no longeroperate with full Wacom tablet functionality.
