30• Store away from areas of human activity.• Do not allow children to play on or around thestored Agri-Vac®.4.9 STORAGEAt the end of the season, the machine should bethoroughly inspected and prepared for storage.Repair or replace any worn or damaged componentsto prevent any unnecessary down time at the start ofnext season.Follow this procedure:1. Wash the entire machine thoroughly using a waterhose or pressure washer to remove all dirt, mud,debris or residue.2. Lubricate all grease points. Make sure all greasecavities have been filled with grease to removeany water residue from the washing.3. Check the oil level in the blower reservoirs. Bringto the recommended level.4. Install the plugs into the receiver tank inlet and air-lock outlet.5. Touch up all paint nicks and scratches to preventrusting.6. All hoses should be stored inside or under ashelter.7. Move the machine to its storage position.8. Select an area that is dry, level and free of debris.9. Motors should be stored in a clean, dry, ventilatedlocation. When in storage the motor shaft shouldbe turned several rotation every month and thebearings re-lubricated every year.10. It is recommended that the starter be powered uponce per year, for one hour continuously to avoiddeterioration of electrolyte and subsequent starterfailure.• Store unit in a dry, level area. Support the basewith planks if required.STORAGE SAFETY4.10 CONVEYING OILSEEDSFor conveying oil seed commodities (such assunflower seeds or canola) we recommend araised tip blower and washout ports.The raised tip blowers have a tip on the impellorthat cleans the casing as the blower rotates.After conveying oilseeds, we recommend washingthe internal surfaces to remove any residue.This will reduce the risk of seizing caused by abuild up of oil residue.
