Maintenance Instructions CLEANING50Transaxle HousingKeeping the housing on the transaxles clean andfree of obstruction is essential to avoid overheat-ing the transmission fluid and shortening transmis-sion life. The housing should be checked every 100hours; and cleaned if necessary.To clean the housing, use compressed air and/or apressure washer. Pay close attention to any oily dirtbuild up on the transaxle housings. This may be theresult of an oil leak. If an oil leak is noticed, contactyour local Walker dealer.CoolingFinsTransaxle Housing and Cooling FinsIMPORTANT: In case an oil leak develops on theinput shaft, the cooling fan blowing dusty air and oilon the transmission will quickly cover the housingand pack the cooling fins with oily dirt. If this condi-tion occurs, contact your dealer immediately to avoidoverheating and damaging the transaxles.An additional procedure in maintaining transaxlecooling is to inspect the cooling fans.
