An adjustment range of approximately 3 in.(76.2 mm) is available on the steering handles -the handles can be adjusted forward or aftdepending on the arm length of the operator.The handles can be adjusted by loosening thelocknut at the pivot point and the locknutholding the handle in position in the adjustmentslide. Adjust the handles into the mostcomfortable position and tighten both locknuts.Steering Lever AdjustmentNeutral Position Adjustment - Step 31. With the Forward Speed Control (FSC) in neu-tral, the lever should be straight up. Adjust byloosening the jam nuts on the FSC Rod and turnthe rod to attain the straight up position. Tightenthe jam nuts.FSC PositionSteering Adjustment2. The initial adjustment for neutral is to loosen thejam nuts on each end of the Hydro-Gear ControlRods and turn the rods to achieve a measure-ment of 4 in. (101.6 mm) between the jam nuts.Be sure to tighten jam nuts before making themeasurement.Actuator Rod Length Adjustment3. Block the tractor up so the drive tires are off theground.4. With the FSC in neutral, start the engine.
