4 5GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS• For your protection, Waring® blenders are equipped with a 3-conductorcordset having a molded 3-prong grounding-type plug, and should beused in combination with a properly connected grounding-type outlet asshown in Figure A. If a grounding-type outlet is not available, an adapter,as shown in Figure B, may be used to enable a 2-slot wall outlet to beused with a 3-prong plug.*As shown in Figure C, the adapter must be grounded by attaching itsgrounding lug under the screw of the outlet cover plate.CAUTION: Before using an adapter, it must be determined that theoutlet cover plate screw is properly grounded. Plug the power cord into AC outlet. Press the On/Off button toturn the unit on. The blue LCD backlight will turn on and the wordsWARING COMMERCIAL will appear, indicating that the power is on.After 5 seconds, the blender enters standby mode.NOTE: In standby mode, the blender is awaiting directions and will readPRESS ANY BUTTON TO BLEND.2. The motor speed can be adjusted by pressing the or Speedbuttons. Speed ranges from 15% to 100%.100% 20,000 RPMs50% 10,000 RPMs15% 3,000 RPMsThe Speed Up button will increase the motor speed display in 1%increments and the Speed Down button will decrease the motorspeed display in 1% increments. Holding down either button will quicklyscroll through speeds.Using the Speed Up and Speed Down buttons, set desired motorspeed. If no speed is selected, motor will default to 100%.NOTE: The motor does not run at the newly set speed until the Start/Stop button is pressed. If Start/Stop button is not pressedwithin 5 seconds, the new speed setting will be stored for next use andthe blender will return to standby mode; the display will once again readPRESS ANY BUTTON TO BLEND.3. Press Start/Stop button to turn the blender on. Blender will runcontinuously at the set speed. The LCD will display the motor speed inpercentage. Default speed (percentage) is at 100%. Motor speed can bechanged while blender is running by simply pressing Speed Up orSpeed Down button.4. To stop continuous blending operation, press Start/Stop button orpress any of the program buttons.PULSE FEATURESYour unit comes equipped with two Pulse options: Normal Pulse andMaximum Pulse . Note: The Pulse buttons are momentary switches –once released, the unit will shut off.1. To use Max pulse option, press the button. This will run the motorat 150% speed. The LCD will read MAX PULSE SPEED: 150%.2. To use Normal pulse option, press the button. This will run the motorat 100% speed. The LCD will read NORM PULSE SPEED: 100%.3. The blender allows you to set the pulse to your desired speed. Whileblending at Normal pulse speed, the motor can be adjusted. To do this,hold the Pulse button and press Speed Up or Speed Down
