Configuring PPTP Mobile User VPN228 Firebox X Edge e-SeriesEnabling PPTP access for firewall usersWhen you enable PPTP on your Edge, you must make sure to enable PPTP access for each remote userwho uses PPTP to connect to the Edge.1 To connect to the System Status page, type https:// in the browser address bar, and the IPaddress of the Firebox X Edge trusted interface.The default URL is https://192.168.111.12 From the navigation bar, select Firebox Users.The Firebox Users page appears.3 Under Local Users Accounts, click the Edit button to edit an existing user account, or Add to adda new user account.4 From the New or Edit page that appears, select the Allow remote access with PPTP check box.Preparing the client computersYou must make sure each remote user’s computer is prepared to use PPTP. Each computer must haveInternet access, and must have the necessary version of Microsoft Dial-Up Networking and any neces-sary service packs. Some operating systems can require a VPN adapter.
