4 5Waterlogic 2 Firewall Technical Manual - Issue B, May 20145Machine OverviewWATERLOGIC WL2 FIREWALL COLD TANKThe cold tank is manufactured from 304 Stainless Steel which is non-corrosive andinert. The cold water temperature is pre-set at approximately 5°C by the factory, thisbeing the ideal temperature for a cold drink. The capacity of the cold tank is 4 litresfor freestanding models and 2 litres for mini models. The cold tank temperatureis controlled by a thermostat that is set at the factory. The thermostat set point ismarked at the back of the machine by a small dot. If the WL2 Firewall UV light fails,then no cold water will be dispensed.HOT TANKThe hot water tank has a 1.5 litre capacity for free standing and mini models. It ismanufactured from 304 stainless steel and is heated by a 500watt heating element.The temperature of the hot tank is controlled by a thermister and it is pre-set at thefactory at approximately 87°C. A BI-metal overload thermostat is fitted to stop thetank overheating and can be reset manually. Setting the hot water temperature at87°C also helps stop scale forming in the hot tank. A special polyphosphate filtercan be fitted at the customer’s request, that will help inhibit lime scale formation. Aminimum flow rate of 1litre per minute is needed for the hot tank to operate correctly.FILTERSThe filtration system on the WL2 Firewall is designed to reduce dirt and sedimentparticles from the water. Furthermore, the Activated Carbon process will remove awhole range of contaminants e.g. chlorine and pesticides.
