12 13Waterlogic 2 Firewall Technical Manual - Issue B, May 201416. Waterlogic recommend that all units are fully electrically (PAT) tested on site bythe commissioning engineer as damage may have occurred during transit to theunit’s final destination.Installation Procedures1. Mount the WL2 Firewall on a firm flat surface with a 50mm air gap on both sidesand top so that it cannot topple or fall from a counter top.2. It is advisable that the water and electricity supply are within two meters of theWL2 Firewall and that the water isolation valve and power supply are accessible. The WL2 Firewall should not be installed using an extension lead. The water supplyshould be from a potable source.3. Level the machine using the adjustable feet.4. Remove the top cover of the machine. If you are installing a freestanding machinealso remove the lower front cover. This is retained by two screws located under thefront edge at the bottom of the cover and two clips in the same location. Removethe screws and push clips up to release. To gain access to the screws tilt the ma-chine backward at an angle of 10 degrees.5. Make the water connection using an installation kit. Waterlogic recommends theuse of a pressure reducing valve, a shut off valve and a non-return valve. Theseshould be fitted before the water intake to the machine. Minimum operating pres-sure for the machine to work suitably is 2.5 bar. The ideal operating pressure is at 3bar. At pressures higher than 3 bar the machine will not function correctly and thiscan lead to leaks.6. Please flush the water supply pipe until it runs clear, before making the waterconnection to rear of the machine.7. The power lead is located in a recess on the top packing cover of the machine re-gardless whether it is a mini or a free standing model. Inspect the electrical socket, the machine plug and the power cable for any transit damage. Now plug the powerlead into the back of the machine. As soon as you plug the machine into a suitablepower supply voltage will be available to the PCB and solenoid valves and you cannow start to flush water through the machine. Do not at this point turn on the heaterand compressor switch at the rear of the machine. This switch should only be turnedon once the hot tank is filled with water.8. The hot water temperature is set at 87°C and the cold water temperature is setat 5°C at the factory. It is not possible to adjust the hot water temperature, but thecold water temperature can be adjusted by regulating the thermostat situated at theback of the machine. This thermostat is set at a specific point at the factory. Thispoint is marked out by a small dot situated on the outside of the thermostat. It isadvised that you do not adjust the cold thermostat past the factory set point of 5°Cas this may result in the system freezing.
