23Multi-Purpose Tray (MP Tray)—for Special MediaThe Multi-Purpose Tray is used for special media such aslabels and card stock up to 110 lb. Index (54 lb. USBond). It can also be used for letterhead stationery,transparencies, light paper and plain paper.OutputTop Exit (Default)The top exit (1) is used for plain paper and letterhead fedin from Tray 1. Sheets feed in face down.Straight-Through Exit—Required for Special MediaThe straight-through exit on the left side of the printerprovides a curl-free print path. Sheets feed in face up (setyour print job for reverse page order to get multi-pageprint jobs to stack in normal page sequence).! To print a particular job using the straight-throughexit path, click Properties from the Print dialog box,then select Stacker (Face-Up) for the Output Bin inthe driver.18 Check the Media SettingsDefault Media SettingsThe default printer setting for print media is Medium (20to 24 lb.).Individual Print JobsIf you are using special media for an individual print job,make the temporary media setting changes in the driveras you print the job from your application.Printer DefaultsIf you consistently use another type of media in Tray 1 orthe Multi-Purpose (MP) Tray, change the media settingsin the printer menu (see page 26).
