If the damage is random andinfrequent, it may be due to a paper grain defect. Consistentlyragged characters may be caused by a failed dry ink cartridge, orthe need for machine service.Character damage may also occur if the paper is sharplycreased or folded before printing or during reader sorterprocessing.CrayoningCrayoning results when material collects on a write or read headand is redeposited on a following document. Frequentoccurrence may indicate a defective reader sorter pressurebrush.
