Page 5-26 Quick Reference GuideDialing OptionsThe Dialing Options area contains a window where the telephone number enteredis displayed. Once it is displayed, it can be added to a list of destination telephonenumbers, a special character can be added, or a list of up to 30 stored telephonenumbers can be accessed.There are two methods of entering a phone number - Manually using the keypad orby selecting a number already stored in the Phone List.Options:Add to Send List Used when you want to send a fax to more than one destination. Enter the numberusing the keypad or select the Phone List button and select a stored number. Thenselect the Add to Send List button. Continue to add numbers until all the locationshave been entered.Send List The Send List is used when the fax is being sent to multiple destinations. The faxjob will be sent to every destination displayed in the Send List. Numbers can beentered into the Send List manually using the keypad, or by using the Phone Listoption. The number of destinations currently in the Send List is shown in bracketson the Send List button.Select the Send List button to view or delete destination fax numbers.DialingCharactersDialing characters are special characters used for entering fax numbers and areentered as part of the telephone number:DIAL P AUSE [,] Allows the machine enough time to switch from an inside lineto an outside line. The delay depends on the fax server.L ONG PAUSE [I] This pause is used if a longer period is required to gain a dialtone.G ROUP DIAL [\] Indicates that an identifier for a previously set up group isabout to be entered.M ASK DATA [/]Used to hide information on printed reports. Charactersentered between two forward slash symbols will appear asasterisks.
