The machine has certain built-indiagnostic capabilities to help you identify problems and faults, and displays error messageson the control panel and web browser, whenever problems or conflicts occur.Fault Clearance ProcedureIf a fault or a problem occurs, there are several ways in which you can identify the type of thefault. Once a fault or a problem is identified, specify the probable cause, and then apply theappropriate solution.• If a fault occurs, first refer to the screen messages and animated graphics to clear thefault according to the specified order.• Also refer to the fault codes displayed on the touch screen in the Machine Status mode.Refer to the Fault Codes table below for an explanation of some fault codes andcorresponding corrective actions.• When you have problems in fixing the fault, contact a System Administrator forassistance.• In some cases, the machine may need to be turned off and then on.CAUTION: If you do not leave at least 20 seconds between a power off and a power on, thehard disk in the machine may be damaged.• You should call for service representative if the problem persists or a message indicates so.Note: Even when the power of the machine fails, all the queued jobs will be saved because themachine is equipped with the hard disk drive. The machine will resume processing the queuedjobs when the power of the machine is turned back on.9
