Media Selection TipsChapter 2: Loading Print Media v 2-15• When using user-defined, non-standard size paper,remember to select the appropriate paper type in yourprinter driver.• Heavily printed pages tend to curl and may not stackcorrectly. They also tend to stain the back of the pagestacked over them, since they require longer to dry.Remove these pages as soon as they are output fromthe printer. Set them aside to dry singly beforehandling them.Use the printer setting Activate Dry Delay Time to allowmore time between prints to provide more time fordrying. You can find this setting in the “PrinterMonitor” under the “Printer Care” tab.Special PrintingMediaFor optimum printing quality, you should always useprinting media specifically indicated for inkjet printers.See the Supplies/Options Guide for recommended mediatypes.Envelopes You can insert up to 25 envelopes in the Main Tray orthree envelopes through the Auxiliary Tray. You must usethe Small Format Media Guide when you insert envelopesin the Main Tray. See “Loading Envelopes or Small FormatMedia” (page 2-10).Coated Paper Coated paper has a very smooth finish on the printingside. You can insert up to 50 sheets in the Main Tray or 10sheets through the Auxiliary Tray.
