P RINTING T ASKS 5.17Using Page OverlayAn overlay is text and/or images stored in the computer HDDas a special file format that can be printed on any documentyou choose. Overlays are often used to take the place ofpreprinted forms and letterhead paper. Rather than usingpreprinted letterhead, for example, you can create an overlaycontaining the exact same information that is currently onyour letterhead. Then when you want to print a letter withyour company’s letterhead, you do not need to load preprintedletterhead paper in the printer.
