Problem Solving4914.1 Troubleshooting4.1.3 Image Quality ProblemsWhen the image quality of the printed output is poor, identify the symptom in the following table to perform thecorresponding remedy.If the image quality does not improve even after the remedy is performed, contact your local Xerox representative.Symptom Check RemedyPart of the imageis missing on theprinted output.(smudged orunclear)Is the media damp? If the media is damp, some parts of the original may not beprinted or may be unclear. Perform the print head cleaning two or three timesRefer "Cleaning the Print Head" (p. 78)If this symptom occurs after you have run a continuous print job,wait for 30 seconds or more before starting the next print job.Whenever an interval of 30 seconds or more elapses, the machineautomatically performs the print head cleaning.Operate the machine in the room temperature at 68ºF (20ºC) andthe humidity at 50%.
