Xerox believes security should be built in as a core component of the MFPsystem and its controller.Standard security features delivered in the WorkCentre 7228/7235/7245 series include:• Analog Fax and Network Isolation – Controller architecture isolates the fax telephone line and thenetwork connection to foil in-coming attacks.• Secure Print – Unlimited Secure Print holds jobs at the device until the owner releases themwith the PIN code.• Encrypted Email – Emails sent from the device to the SMTP server are encrypted with digital keys.• Authentication– System Administrator Authentication – The WorkCentre 7228/7235/7245 support IP Filtering,limited access by IP address or a range of IP restrictions on Web pages. This allows accessto administrative Web pages to be restricted to authorized IP addresses. Device AccessPassword Protection further restricts access to device setup screens and remote networksettings.– Network Authentication – Restricts access to scan, email and fax features by validatingnetwork user names and passwords.– Copy Auditron – Restricts access to the device for copy functionality.
