Table 8 lists causes of the errors andpossible corrective actions. Refer to the drive Technical Manual for additional error codesthat may appear on the drive keypad.n FaultsBoth bUS (option communication error) and EF0 (Option Card External Fault) can appear asan alarm or as a fault. When a fault occurs, the keypad ALM LED remains lit. When analarm occurs, the ALM LED flashes.If communication stops while the drive is running, use the following questions as a guide tohelp remedy the fault:• Is the option properly installed?• Is the communication line properly connected to the option? Is it loose?• Is the controller program working? Ground the shield on thecontroller side or the drive input power side.• Separate all communication wiring from drive power lines. Install an EMC noisefilter to the drive power supply input.• Counteract noise in the master controller (PLC).
