8 PROFINET Messagingu PROFINET OverviewThis section describes the communication profile used between the PROFINET I/O network and the option. The option supports the PROFIdrive profile. Users can select between the control and status words according to the PROFIdriveprofile or use the Yaskawa-specific control and status words.u PROFIdrive Communication Profilen The Control Word and the Status WordThe contents of the Control Word and the Status Word are detailed in Table 9 and Table 10 respectively. The drive states arepresented in the Figure 15 on page 27.n Frequency ReferenceThe Frequency reference is a 16-bit word containing a sign bit and a 15-bit integer. A negative reference (indicating reversedirection of rotation) is formed by calculating the two's complement from the corresponding positive reference. The referencevalue is the desired output frequency.n Output FrequencyOutput Frequency is a 16-bit word containing the current output frequency (U1-02) of the drive.Table 9 Control Word for PROFIdrive Communication ProfileBit Name Value Proceed to STATE/Description0ON 1 Proceed to READY TO OPERATE.OFF1 0 Emergency OFF.
