Page 53FTDX9000D OPERATION MANUALCONVENIENT F EATURES"MY B ANDS" O PERATIONWhen operating on an Amateur Band the Main (VFO-A) register, it is possible to use the BAND/MHz switch (# ) toengage the use of the CLAR/VFO-B knob (# ) for Amateur band selection. The “My Bands” feature allows you toselect several Amateur bands, and make only those bands available for selection via the CLAR/VFO-B tuning knob.This feature can be very useful in a contest, where the 10/18/24 MHz band are not used, or if you do not have antennas forsome bands.“My Bands” Setup1. Press the MNU key to engage the Menu mode; theMenu list will appear on the TFT.2. Rotate the MAIN tuning dial (# ) to select Menuitem TUNING 135 MY BAND.3. Rotate the CLAR/VFO-B knob (# ) to choose aband that you wish to skip (omit) from the band-se-lection loop (when using the CLAR/VFO-B tuningknob for band selection). The available choices are1.8/3.5/7/10/14/18/21/24/28/50/GEN/TRV, and thefactory-default selection is TRV (only).4. Press the ENT key to set the omission command toON.5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to select/deselect as many bandsas you like.NoteThe “ON” command sets the selected band to be skipped, whilethe “OFF” command sets the selected band to be included inthe band-selection list.6.
