3-1EEMF10010INSTALLATIONcCIncorrect engine height or obstructions tosmooth water flow (such as the design orcondition of the boat or accessories suchas transom ladders/depth finder trans-ducers) can create airborne water spraywhile the boat is cruising. Severe enginedamage may result if the motor is operat-ed continuously in the presence of air-borne water spray.NOTE:During water testing check the buoyancyof the boat, at rest, with its maximumload. Check that the static water level onthe exhaust housing is low enough to pre-vent water entry into the powerhead,when water rises due to waves when theoutboard is not running.
