Before Starting Playback17 EnDISC PLAYBACK3 EnglishAdjusting the brightness of the frontpanel displayIf you feel that the front panel display is too bright whenwatching movies, you can adjust the brightness bypressing DIMMER repeatedly on the remote control.■ Setting the on-screen displaylanguage1 Press SETUP to display the Setup Menu screen.2 Press / / / to select “On ScreenLanguage”, then press ENTER.3 Press / to select the language you want todisplay on the screen, then press ENTER.Notes– The language display in step 3 is an example forU.S.A., and Central and South America models.– To select the DVD disc language, such as subtitlelanguage, etc., see page 26.■ Updating the software of this unitSome of the newly released BD video discs cannot beplayed back unless you update this Player software to thelatest version. We recommend updating the software ofthis unit with “Software Update” so that this Player isoperated based on the latest software.The USB memory device must be clear of all filesexcept software update data to allow new softwareuploading.To check for the availability of a software update, visithttp://www.yamaha.co.jp/english/product/av/down/agreement.html.When a software update is performed, the softwareupdate data must be written onto the USB memorydevice in advance using a PC. When software updatedata is released, copy the data onto a USB memorydevice after downloading it to a PC.
