2-14EEMU01501¯POWER TILT SWITCHThe power tilt adjusts the motor angle inrelation to the transom. The power tilt switchis located on top of the steering bracket.Pushing the switch “UP” trims the motor up,then tilts the motor up. Pressing the switch“DN” tilts the motor down and trims themotor down. When the switch button isreleased, the motor will stop in its currentposition.WARNINGUse the power tilt switch located on topof the steering bracket only when theboat is at a complete stop with theengine off. Attempting to use the cowl-ing-mounted power tilt switch while theboat is moving could increase the risk offalling overboard and could distract theoperator, increasing the risk of collisionwith another boat or an obstacle.NOTE:Refer to the section “Tilting Up/Down” forinstructions on usage.EMU00152TILT LOCK MECHANISM(for Manual tilt model)The tilt-lock mechanism is used to preventreverse thrust from the propeller lifting theoutboard motor when reversing.
