4-19ENOTE:@If a torque wrench is not available when youare installing the drain plug, finger tightenthe bolt just until the gasket comes into con-tact with the surface of the drain hole. Thentighten 1/4 - 1/2 turn. Have the drain plugtorqued to the correct value with a torquewrench as soon as possible.@4) Remove the oil filler cap 2. Add the cor-rect amount of oil through the filler hole.Reinstall the filler cap.5) Start the engine and watch to make surethe low oil pressure warning lamp turnsoff. Make sure that there are no oilleaks.CAUTION:@If the oil lamp does not turn off, or if thereare oil leaks, stop the engine and find thecause. Continued operation with a prob-lem could cause severe engine damage.If the problem cannot be found and cor-rected, consult your Yamaha dealer.@6) Turn off the engine and wait 3 minutes.Recheck the oil level using the dipstick tobe sure the level falls between the upperand lower marks. Fill with oil if it is belowthe lower mark, or drain to the specifiedlevel if it is above the upper mark.7) Dispose of used oil according to localregulations.NOTE:@ For disposal of used oil consult yourYamaha dealer.
