Changing settings while ridingcan distract the operator and increase therisk of an accident.The multi-function meter unit is equipped withthe following:• A speedometer• A tachometer• An odometer• Two tripmeters (which show the distancetraveled since they were last set to zero)• A fuel reserve tripmeter (which shows thedistance traveled since the left segment ofthe fuel meter started flashing)• A clock• A fuel meter• A coolant temperature display• A self-diagnosis deviceTIP• Be sure to turn the key to “ON” before usingthe “SELECT” and “RESET” buttons.• For the U.K. only: To switch the speedometerand odometer/tripmeter displays betweenkilometers and miles, press the “SELECT”button for at least one second.TachometerThe electric tachometer allows the rider tomonitor the engine speed and keep it withinthe ideal power range.When the key is turned to “ON”, the tachome-ter needle will sweep once across the r/minrange and then return to zero r/min in order totest the electrical circuit.ECA10031Do not operate the engine in the tachome-ter red zone.Red zone: 11500 r/min and aboveClockThe clock displays when the key is turned to“ON”.
