INSTRUMENT AND CONTROL FUNCTIONS3-63EAU32976Multi-function displayWARNINGEWA12311Be sure to stop the vehicle beforemaking any setting changes to themulti-function display.The multi-function display is equippedwith the following: a speedometer (which shows theriding speed) two tachometers, one LCD andone digital (which show enginer/min) an odometer (which shows the to-tal distance traveled) two tripmeters (which show thedistance traveled since they werelast set to zero) a fuel reserve tripmeter (whichshows the distance traveled sincethe bottom segment of the fuelmeter started flashing) a clock an air intake temperature display a fuel meter a coolant temperature meter a self-diagnosis deviceNOTE: Be sure to turn the key to “ON” be-fore using the “SELECT” and “RE-SET” buttons. For the U.K. only: To switch thespeedometer and odometer/trip-meter displays between kilometersand miles, press the “SELECT”button for at least two seconds.Odometer, tripmeter and digital ta-chometer modesPushing the “SELECT” button switchesthe display between the odometermode “ODO” and the tripmeter modes“TRIP 1” and “TRIP 2” (“TRIP F”) andthe tachometer “E” in the following or-der:ODO → TRIP 1 → TRIP 2 → (TRIP F)→ E → ODOWhen the fuel amount in the fuel tankdecreases to 3.6 L (0.95 US gal) (0.79Imp.gal), the bottom segment of thefuel meter will start flashing, and theodometer display will automaticallychange to the fuel reserve tripmetermode “TRIP F” and start counting thedistance traveled from that point. In thatcase, pushing the “SELECT” buttonswitches the display between the vari-ous tripmeter and odometer modes inthe following order:TRIP F → E → ODO → TRIP 1 → TRIP2 → TRIP FTo reset a tripmeter, select it by push-ing the “SELECT” button, and thenpush the “RESET” button for at leastone second.
