Before making connections, make sure thatthe amplifier is switched off.+Remove the shortbars beforeconnecting.n Connectionsl Connect the screw-type input terminals at the rear of thespeakers to the speaker output terminals of your amplifier withthe speaker cables.l Connect the (+) terminals on both the amplifier and the speakersusing one side of the cable. Connect the (–) terminals on bothcomponents using the other side of the cable.l Connect one speaker to the left (marked L) terminals of youramplifier, and another speaker to the right (marked R) terminals, making sure not to reverse the polarity (+, –). If one speaker isconnected with reversed polarity, the sound will be unnatural andlack bass.Procedure:À Loosen the terminal knob.Á Remove approx. 10 mm (3/8”) insulation from the speakercable and insert the bare wire end properly into the terminalhole. Tighten the knob.à Test the security of the connection by tugging lightly on thecable at the terminal.NoteDo not let the bare speaker wires touch each other as thiscould damage the speaker and/or the amplifier.Bi-Wiring ConnectionsThis speaker system is capable of bi-wiring connections. Toconnect the speakers to the output terminals of the amplifier, twopairs of cables for each of woofer and tweeter are used instead ofstandard connections. This type of connection decreases themodulation distortion caused by electric resistance of the cablesand driving current of the speakers. Consequently, purer soundquality can be expected. To utilize bi-wiring connections, remove the short bars from theterminals first, and then connect the woofer and tweeter to theamplifier separately using two pairs of cables.NoteFor bi-wiring connections, use the same type of cable for boththe woofer and tweeter, making sure to match the polarity.LoosenTightenAmplifier orReceiverWoofer terminalsTweeter terminalsV404280Printed in MalaysiaSpeaker (L)Both SPEAKERS A and Bshould be selected.Speakers outputterminals of theamplifierAmplifier orReceiverSpeaker(L)Speaker(R)Speaker(L)Speaker(R)
