1 EnEnglish• Be sure to have another person support it.• Pay extra attention to avoid scratching the speaker’ssurface.• Be careful not to apply force to the side of the speaker,otherwise the speaker may fall causing damage to thespeaker or personal injury.• To avoid accidents resulting from tripping over loosespeaker cables, affix them to the floor.• Placing the speakers too close to a CRT-type TV mayimpair the picture color or cause a buzzing noise. In thiscase, move the speakers at least 20 cm (8") away from theTV. This is not an issue with LCD and plasma TVs.■ Using as 2ch stereo speakersBetter stereo images will be obtained when the speakersare slightly angled in towards the listener.■ Using as front speakers in a multi-channel systemPosition the speakers on both sides of the TV. Thepositioning of speakers is important, since this dictates theoverall sound quality of the multi-channel system. Set upthe speakers on the basis of your listening position byfollowing the owner’s manual supplied with your amplifier.Placing the speakersNotePrecautions when positioning the speakersThe speaker is constructed withthe majority of the weightlocated in its upper portion, andis thus susceptible to falling overif proper care is not taken toensure its stability. If the speakertips over, the speaker or otherpersonal property may bedamaged or an individual maybe injured (possibly even fatally injured).For safe and proper use of the speaker:• Position the speaker in a location that is solid, level,smooth, and low (with respect to the floor).• Do not push or apply pressure to the side of thespeaker when moving, or lean objects against theside of the speaker.• Do not sit on or set objects on top of the speaker.Vibrations or jolts associated with earthquakes andother phenomena or activities may cause the speaker tofall over.
