II• Explanation of Graphical SymbolsThe lightning flash with arrowheadsymbol, within an equilateral triangle,is intended to alert you to thepresence of uninsulated “dangerousvoltage” within the product’senclosure that may be of sufficientmagnitude to constitute a risk ofelectric shock to persons.The exclamation point within anequilateral triangle is intended to alertyou to the presence of importantoperating and maintenance(servicing) instructions in theliterature accompanying theappliance.IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS1 Read Instructions – All the safety and operatinginstructions should be read before the product isoperated.2 Retain Instructions – The safety and operatinginstructions should be retained for future reference.3 Heed Warnings – All warnings on the product and inthe operating instructions should be adhered to.4 Follow Instructions – All operating and use instructionsshould be followed.5 Cleaning – Unplug this product from the wall outletbefore cleaning. If you are not sure of the type of power supply toyour home, consult your product dealer or local powercompany. For products intended to operate frombattery power, or other sources, refer to the operatinginstructions.12 Grounding or Polarization – This product may beequipped with a polarized alternating current line plug(a plug having one blade wider than the other). Thisplug will fit into the power outlet only one way. This is asafety feature. If you are unable to insert the plug fullyinto the outlet, try reversing the plug. If the plug shouldstill fail to fit, contact your electrician to replace yourobsolete outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of thepolarized plug.13 Power-Cord Protection – Power-supply cords shouldbe routed so that they are not likely to be walked on orpinched by items placed upon or against them, payingparticular attention to cords at plugs, conveniencereceptacles, and the point where they exit from theproduct.14 Lightning – For added protection for this product duringa lightning storm, or when it is left unattended andunused for long periods of time, unplug it from the walloutlet and disconnect the antenna or cable system.This will prevent damage to the product due to lightningand power-line surges.15 Power Lines – An outside antenna system should notbe located in the vicinity of overhead power lines orother electric light or power circuits, or where it can fallinto such power lines or circuits. When installing anoutside antenna system, extreme care should be takento keep from touching such power lines or circuits ascontact with them might be fatal.16 Overloading – Do not overload wall outlets, extensioncords, or integral convenience receptacles as this canresult in a risk of fire or electric shock.17 Object and Liquid Entry – Never push objects of anykind into this product through openings as they maytouch dangerous voltage points or short-out parts thatcould result in a fire or electric shock. Never spill liquidof any kind on the product.
