When thisoccurs, stop the engine immediately and allow theengine to cool down, and then check the coolant level inthe coolant reservoir. (See page 6-4.)CAUTION:@Do not operate the engine if it overheats.@ESU04254Self-diagnostic systemThis model is equipped with a self-diagnostic system forvarious electrical circuits.If any of those circuits are defective, the warning light 1and the self-diagnosis warning indicator 2 will flash, andthen an error code (e.g., 16 and 81) 3 will flash slowly inthe tripmeter/odometer display.WARNING@ If the self-diagnosis warning indicator and warn-ing light flash continuously, and an error code isdisplayed during operation, there may be someproblem with the electrical circuit, lead couplers,etc. Stop the engine and allow it to cool off. Then,check that the wire harness couplers in theengine compartment are connected properly. If the self-diagnosis warning indicator, warninglight, and an error code flash after the engine hasbeen restarted, note the error code, and thenhave a Yamaha dealer inspect the snowmobile assoon as possible.@
