Scalding hot fluid and steammay be blown out under pressure, which couldcause serious injury.When the engine has cooled, place a thick rag ortowel over the coolant reservoir cap, and slowlyrotate the cap counterclockwise to the detent.This procedure allows any residual pressure toescape. When the hissing sound has stopped,press down on the cap while turning counter-clockwise and remove it. The cooling system must be bled of air if thecoolant reservoir becomes empty, if air can beseen in the cooling system, or if there is a coolingsystem leak. Consult a Yamaha dealer.@CAUTION:@Operating the engine with an improperly bled cool-ing system can cause overheating and severeengine damage.@
