CABLE ROUTING– 16 –1. Battery band2. Positive battery lead (positive battery to starterrelay)3. Negative battery lead4. Fuse box 15. Yamaha diagnostic tool coupler6. Fuse box 27. Lean angle sensor8. Rear turn signal light lead (left turn signal light)9. License plate light lead10. Rear turn signal light lead (right turn signal light)11. Seat lock cable12. Starter motor lead13. Positive battery sub-wire harness coupler14. Wire harness15. Tail/brake light lead16. Rear fender17. Lower fender cover18. Frame19. Rear turn signal light coupler20. License plate light coupler21. Battery box22. Battery23. Positive battery lead (starter relay to wire harness)A. Route the positive battery lead through the hole inthe battery band.B. Position the Yamaha diagnostic tool lead andcoupler above fuse boxes 1 and 2 as shown in theillustration.C. Connect all of the couplers near fuse box 2, andthen install fuse box 2 to the battery box.D. Fasten the license plate light lead and rear turnsignal light lead (right turn signal light) with aplastic locking tie. Align the plastic locking tie withthe boss on the mudguard. Face the buckle of theplastic locking tie upward with the end pointingoutward.E. Less than 5 mm (0.20 in)F. Pass a plastic locking tie through the hole in thebattery box, and then fasten the wire harness withthe tie. Face the buckle of the plastic locking tieupward with the end pointing inward.G. InwardH. OutwardI. RightJ. LeftK. Route the tail/brake light lead to the inside of therear turn signal light couplers and license platelight couplers.L. Route the rear turn signal light leads, license platelight lead, and tail/brake light lead to the outside ofthe positive battery lead.
