To loosen the drive chain, turnthe adjusting plate on each side ofthe swingarm in direction (b), andthen push the rear wheel forward.TIPMake sure that both adjusting platesare in the same position for properwheel alignment.3. Tighten the axle nut to the speci-fied torque.4. Make sure that the adjusting platesare in the same position, the drivechain slack is correct, and thedrive chain moves smoothly.EAU23027Cleaning and lubricating thedrive chainThe drive chain must be cleaned andlubricated at the intervals specified inthe periodic maintenance and lubrica-tion chart, otherwise it will quickly wearout, especially when riding in dusty orwet areas. Clean the drive chain with a drivechain cleaner and a small softbrush.
