In California, model year 2000 orlater off-road compression-ignition enginesmust be designed, built and equipped tomeet the state’s stringent anti-smogstandards. In all states, 1998 and later non-road compression-ignition engines must bedesigned, built and equipped to meet theUnited States EPA emissions standards.Yanmar warrants the emission controlsystem on your engine for the periods of timelisted below provided there has been noabuse, neglect or improper maintenance ofyour engine.Your emission control system may includeparts such as the fuel injection system andthe air induction system.Where a warrantable condition exists,Yanmar will repair your non-roadcompression-ignition engine at no charge toyou including diagnosis, parts and labor.Manufacturer’s Warranty Period:The model year 1998 or later certified andlabeled non-road compression-ignitionengines are warranted for the periods listedbelow. If any emission-related part on yourengine is found to be defective during theapplicable warranty period, the part will bereplaced by Yanmar.Engines rated at orabove 19 kW ≤ andless than < 37 kW(25.5 hp ≤ and lessthan < 49.6 hp)The warranty period isfive (5) years or 3,000hours of use,whichever occurs first.In the absence of adevice to measure thehours of use, theengine has a warrantyperiod of five (5) years.Engines rated under19 kW >(25.5 hp >)The warranty period istwo (2) years or 1,500hours of use,whichever occurs first.In the absence of adevice to measure thehours of use, theengine has a warrantyperiod of two (2) years.GM Series Operation Manual 81© 2007 Yanmar Marine International
