Therefore an air bleedscrew is not required.1. Push up and down on the primingpump to bleed the fuel filter. (approx.60 times)2. When you begin to feel resistance,bleeding is complete.NOTICENever use the starter motor to crank theengine in order to prime the fuel system.This may cause the starter motor tooverheat and damage the coils, pinionand/or ring gear.ENGINE OILEngine Oil SpecificationsUsing engine oil that does not meet orexceed the following guidelines orspecifications may cause seizure of parts,abnormal wear and shorten engine life.Service CategoriesUse an engine oil that meets or exceedsthe following guidelines and classifications:• API Service Categories CD, CF, CF-4CI and CI-4.• SAE Viscosity: 10W-30, 15W-40. Engineoil 10W-30 and 15W-40 can be usedthroughout the year.NOTICE• Be sure the engine oil, engine oil storagecontainers and engine oil fillingequipment are free of sediment or water.• Change the engine oil after the first 50hours of operation and then at every 250hours thereafter.• Select the oil viscosity based on theambient temperature where the engineis being operated. See the SAE ServiceGrade Viscosity Chart (Figure 5).• Yanmar does not recommend the use ofengine oil “additives”.
