13K. Fuel Tank CapThe fuel tank cap is located at the rear of the LHconsole. Turn the cap counterclockwise to unscrewand remove from the fuel tank. Always re-install thefuel cap tightly onto the fuel tank after removing.WARNING: Never fill the fuel tank whenthe engine is running. If the engine is hotfrom recently running, allow to cool forseveral minutes before refueling. Highlyflammable gasoline could splash ontothe engine and cause a fire.L. Hour Meter/Indicator PanelThe hour meter/indicator panel is located on the LHconsole to the left of the operator’s seat.Figure 7Hour Meter FeatureThe hour meter records the hours that the tractor hasbeen operated in the digital display (tenths of anhour-right most digit).NOTE: The hour meter is activated whenever the igni-tion switch is turned to the "ON" position. Keep arecord of the actual hours of operation to assure allmaintenance procedures are completed according tothe instructions in this manual and the engine manual.• When key is turned to the "ON" position, thebattery indicator light briefly illuminates and thebattery voltage is briefly displayed. The displaythen changes to the accumulated hours.• Every 50 hours a "change oil" message will flashon the display for 2 minutes every time the tractoris started. This message will repeat for the firsttwo hours after each 50 hour interval. The oilpressure indicator light will also flash when thisdisplay is active. Follow the oil change intervalsprovided in the engine manual.Indicator Panel FeatureBattery Indicator (Refer to Figure 7)• Illuminates and the battery voltage is displayedbriefly when the ignition switch it turned to the"ON" position.• Illuminates to indicate the battery voltage hasdropped below 11.5 (+0.5/-1.0) volts. The batteryvoltage is also displayed on the hour meter. If thisindicator and display come on during operation,check the battery and charging system for possi-ble causes and/or contact your Yardman servicedealer.PTO Engaged Indicator (Refer to Figure 7)• This indicator illuminates when the PTO switch ispulled upward in the "ENGAGED" position andthe ignition switch is turned to the "START"position. Check this indicator if the engine will notcrank with the ignition switch in the "START"position. If necessary, move the PTO switch tothe "DISENGAGED" position.Parking Brake Engaged Indicator (Refer to Figure 7)• This indicator illuminates when the parking brakeis in the DISENGAGED position and the ignitionswitch is turned to the "START" position. Checkthis indicator if the engine will not crank with theignition switch in the "START" position.
