Apply park brake.Lower thedeck into the lowest cutting position.Remove foot plate and belt shields.1.Using a ratchet with a2. 9/16" socket on thespring idler bolt to relieve the tension on thebelt.Remove any dirt or grass that may have3.accumulated around the cutter housings andentire deck surface.Carefully roll the belt over the top of the4.cutter housing pulleys.Remove the belt from around the electric5.clutch on the engine shaft.The belt can now be removed.6.Deck belt installationNOTE: for ease in installing the deck belt, refer to therouting decal on bottom of seat.Wrap the deck belt around the electric clutch1.pulley that is located on the engine shaft.Route the belt forward between and up onto2.the deck.Place belt around spring loaded idler pulley.3.Wrap the belt around the stationary idler4.pulley and around the mandrel housings.Push inward on the idler arm and carefully5.route belt over stationary idler pulley. Oncebelt is properly routed, slowly release idlerarm to tension belt.Double check belt routing to make sure it6.matches the routing decal, and the belt doesnot have any twist. Correct as needed.Adjust tension.7.Replace belt shields on both mandrel8.housings and secure with fasteners.
