Getting Started3This section provides instructions on how to get ready for auto provisioning. The autoprovisioning process discussed in this guide uses the TFTP server as the provisioningserver. To begin the auto provisioning process, the following steps are required: Obtaining Configuration Information Managing Configuration FilesBefore beginning provisioning, you need to obtain configuration files. There are 2configuration files both of which are CFG-formatted. We call these two files CommonCFG file and MAC-Oriented CFG file. The phone tries to download these CFG files fromthe server during provisioning. The MAC-Oriented CFG file is only effectual for the specific phone. It uses the 12-digitMAC address of the phone as the file name. For example, if the MAC address of thephone is 0015651130F9, the MAC-Oriented CFG file name must be 0015651130F9.cfg.However, the Common CFG file is effectual for all the phones with the same model. Ituses a fixed name “y0000000000XX.cfg” as the file name, where "XX" equals to thehardware version of the phone model, except 00 for SIP-T28(P).The names of the Common CFG file for each phone model are:Phone Model Common CFG FileSIP-T28(P) y000000000000.cfgSIP-T26(P) y000000000004.cfgSIP-T22(P) y000000000005.cfgSIP-T21(P) y000000000034.cfgSIP-T20(P) y000000000007.cfgSIP-T38G y000000000038.cfgSIP-T32G y000000000032.cfgSIP-T19(P) y000000000031.cfgVP530 y000000000023.cfg
