The water is discharged, via thepipe, into a tray located at the back of the applianceabove the compressor, where it evaporates.ImportantTo avoid defrost water overflowing into the fridge,periodically clean the water discharge hole in thecentre of the V shaped drip collector at the back ofthe refrigerator compartment behind the fruit andvegetable drawer. Use the defrost cleaner providedwhich you will find already inserted into thedischarge hole.Remember to wash the defrost cleaner in hot soapywater at regular intervals. Dry throughly beforereplacing.FreezerYour appliance is frost free, which means there is noneed to manually defrost your appliance as this willbe carried out automatically.MAINTENANCE AND CLEANINGBefore any maintenance or cleaning work is carriedout, DISCONNECT the appliance from theELECTRICITY supply.Internal cleaningClean the inside and accessories with warm waterand bicarbonate of soda (5ml to 0.5 litre of water).Rinse and dry thoroughly.NEVER USE DETERGENTS, ABRASIVEPOWDERS, HIGHLY PERFUMEDCLEANING PRODUCTS OR WAXPOLISHES, TO CLEAN THE INTERIOR ASTHESE WILL DAMAGE THE SURFACE ANDLEAVE A STRONG ODOUR.When the appliance is not in useWhen the appliance is not in use for long periods,disconnect from the electricity supply, empty allfoods and clean the appliance, leaving the doors ajarto prevent unpleasant smells.Changing the light bulbShould the interior light fail to work, first switch offthe appliance and disconnect from the electricitysupply, then replace the bulb as follows;External cleaningOnce or twice a year dust the condenser (black grill)and the compressor at the back of the appliance,with a brush or vacuum cleaner, see figure, as anaccumulation of dust will affect the performance ofthe appliance and cause excessive electricityconsumption.press on the rear hook and at the same time slide thecover in the direction indicated by the arrow.Unscrew the bulb and replace it with one of the samepower (the maximum power is shown on the lightdiffuser) available from your nearest Service ForceCentre.Replace the light cover by sliding it into its originalposition.9
