26Defrost featureThis function defrosts most foods faster thanmore conventional methods. It is particularlysuitable for delicate frozen foods which areto be served cold e.g. cream filled gateaux,cakes covered with icings or frostings,cheesecakes, biscuits, scones, etc.Using defrost feature• Turn the main oven temperature controlto the defrost setting.• When defrost is selected, the ovenindicator neon may come ON. It will stayON until the oven reaches roomtemperature and then go OFF.• It may turn ON and OFF periodicallyduring defrosting to maintain a steadyroom temperature, inside the oven.Things to note• The oven fan and interior light will comeon.Hints and tips• Place the frozen food in a single layerwhere possible and turn it over half waythrough the defrosting process.• The actual speed of defrosting isinfluenced by room temperature.
