10Before any cleaning or maintenance can becarried out, you must disconnect theappliance from the electricity supply.The oven should be kept clean at all times. A build-up offats or other foodstuffs could result in a fire, especiallyin the grill pan.Cleaning materialsBefore using any cleaning materials on your oven, checkthat they are suitable and that their use is recommendedby the manufacturer.Cleaners that contain bleach should NOT be used asthey may dull the surface finishes. Harsh abrasivesshould also be avoided.Cleaning the OvenBefore any maintenance or cleaning can becarried out, you must DISCONNECT the hob fromthe electricity supply.The hob is best cleaned whilst it is still warm, as spillagecan be removed more easily than if it is left to cool.The Hob TopRegularly wipe over the hob top using a soft cloth wellwrung out in warm water to which a little wasing up liquidhas been added. Avoid the use of the following:- household detergent and bleaches;- impregnated pads unsuitable for non-sticksaucepans;- steel wool pads;- bath/sink stain removers.Pan SupportsWhen washing the pan supports, take care when dryingthem as the enamelling process occasionally leavesrough edges. If necessay, remove stubborn stains usinga paste cleaner.The BurnersThe burner caps and crowns can be removed forcleaning.Wash the burners caps and crowns using hot soapywater, and remove marks with a mild paste cleaner. Awell moistened soap impregnated steel wool pad canbe used with caution, if the marks are particularly difficultto remove.After cleaning, be sure to wipe dry with a soft cloth.Cleaning the Hob
