14• Avoid using thin, badly dented or distortedsaucepans. Those with uneven bases shouldnot be used.• Never leave the hob on when not covered witha saucepan.• Ensure that the hob and saucepans are cleanand dry before the start of cooking.• Follow the cleaning instructions very closely tokeep the hob looking like new.• If spillage occurs with sugar solutions, e.g.jams and syrups, it must be wiped from the hobbefore it sets and becomes hard otherwisedamage to the hob will occur.The grill Accessible parts may be hot when the grill isin use. Young children should be kept away.Using the grill Turn the top oven/grillgrill to the requiredsetting.At lower settings thegrill may turn on andoff over time and youmay prefer to usethese settings to keepfood warm.The food will continueto cook gently if thegrill is used for thispurpose.Things to note• To ensure optimal cooking performancethe elements have been carefullydesigned, so that only the inner elementglows red.
