When button is pressed, theoven symbol will come on the display and the oven lightwill switch on (Fig. 1).To switch off the oven, you can press button at anytime. Any cooking function or programme will stop, theoven light will switch off and the time display will showthe time of day only.All the oven functions are controlled by an electronicprogrammer.You can select any combination of cooking function,cooking temperature and automatic timing.In the event of a power failure, the programmer willkeep all the settings (time of day, programmesetting or programme in operation) for about 3minutes. If power is not restored within 3 minutes,all the settings will be cancelled. When the poweris restored, the numbers in the display will flash,and the clock/timer has to be reset.Special functionsThe following functions can be activated by pressing twobuttons at the same time:- Child lock: press button and button “ “.- Beep on touch: press button and button “ “.- Demo mode: press button and button “ “.For further details, see chapter “Safety and Energy Sav-ing functions”.Cooling fanThe cooling fan operates during cooking. Air is expelledthrough vents between the oven door and the control panel,as shown in the diagram.The cooling fan may run on after the oven is switched offto keep the controls cool. This is quite normal.The Safety ThermostatThis oven is provided with a safety thermostat. In case ofmalfunctioning of the main thermostat, and consequentover-heating, the safety device will stop the power supplyto the appliance. If this happens, call your local ServiceForce Centre. Under no circumstances should youattempt to repair the appliance yourself.
