Handling and installationWhile all equipment is designed for durability andfabricated with heavy gauge materials and maypresent a robust appearance, great care must betaken to assure that no undue force is applied tothe coil, piping, drain connection or other delicatecomponents such as control boards during handling.Wherever possible, all units should be maintainedin an upright position and handled by the chassis, plenum sections or as close as possible to themounting points. In the case of a fully exposedcabinet unit, the unit must obviously by handled bythe exterior casing. Gloves should be worn whenhandling finished, painted units and should never beset down on unclean, hard surfaces. Failure to followthese instructions may lead to scratching or gougingof the finished surface.Although Zehnder Rittling does not become involvedwith the design and selection of support methodsand/or components, it should be recognized thatunacceptable operating characteristics and/orperformance may result from poorly implementedunit support. Additionally, proper clearance must beprovided for service and removal of the equipment.Anchoring the equipment in place is accomplished byusing the mounting points provided, and positioningthe unit on a LEVEL plane. The drain pan is pitchedwithin the unit to provide proper drainage when theunit is installed level. Care must be taken to ensurethat the drain pan does not slope away from thedrain connection. Vertical units are designed to bebolted to the wall structure through the slotted wallmounting holes in the chassis, used for anchoringto pre-installed wall studs. Horizontal units areprovided with slotted ceiling mounting brackets wherehanging rod and rubber-in-shear or spring vibrationisolators, supplied by others, can be used for propersuspension and vibration isolation. The type of mounting device is a matter of choice, however the mounting point should always be thatprovided in the chassis, plenum or cabinet.CEILING STUDSTUD/DRYWALL CEILING SYSTEMSUSPENDED GRID/TILE CEILING SYSTEMCEILINGTILEMOUNTINGHOLE(SUSPENSION HARDWAREBY OTHERS)CEILING TILEGRID “T” BAR(BY OTHERS)DRYWALLCEILING STUDSTUD/DRYWALL CEILING SYSTEMSUSPENDED GRID/TILE CEILING SYSTEMCEILINGTILEMOUNTINGHOLE(SUSPENSION HARDWAREBY OTHERS)MOUNTINGHOLECEILING TILEGRID “T” BAR(BY OTHERS)DRYWALLCEILING STUDMOUNTINGHOLEATTACH TELESCOPINGFILTER BOX USINGEXISTING SCREWAND WASHER INFCHP UNIT TOMOUNTING TABSIN FILTER BOX.
