OPERATIONAxio Zoom.V16 STOP button Carl Zeiss05/2012 435080-9030-701 434.5 STOP buttonThe STOP button is for instantaneous deactivationof a moving motorized focusing drive to preventcollision with the stage or a specimen on the latter.• Press the STOP button (Fig. 28/1) to switch offthe focusing drive. Depending on whichfocusing drive is used, the STOP button is onthe right- or left-hand side of the drive.The STOP button engages. The focusing movementis immediately interrupted.The STOP button must be unlocked to restart thefocusing drive.• To unlock the STOP button, pull it out again.When the motorized focusing drive is lowered there is the risk of pinching fingers in theworking area:− Switch off the focusing drive with the STOP button (Fig. 28/1) if necessary (depending on thefocusing drive version the STOP button is on the right- or left-hand side).− Do not reach into the work area or beneath the motorized focusing drive during lowering.− Adjust the position of the limit switch as required (see Section 4.6, page 44) to preventdamage to the instrument.Fig. 28 STOP button
