Instructions for Use Technical specification60 / 65 305935-9900-000–1.3 – 2020-08-25-for USA11.8.4 Recommended safety distances between portable and mobile RF communicationequipment and the EXTARO 300The device EXTARO 300 is intended for use in an electromagnetic environment in which RF disturbancesare controlled. The customer or the user of the device EXTARO 300 can help prevent electromagneticinterference by maintaining a minimum distance between portable and mobile RF communicationequipment (transmitters) and the EXTARO 300 depending on the output power of the communicationequipment as specified below.Rated power of thetransmitter [W] Separation distance depending on transmission frequency [m]150 kHz to 800 MHz 800 MHz to 2.7 GHzd = 1.2 d = 2.30.01 0.12 0.230.1 0.38 0.731 1.2 2.310 3.8 7.3100 12 23For transmitters rated at a maximum output power not listed in the above table, therecommended separation distance d in meters (m) can be determined using the equationapplicable to the frequency of the transmitter, with P being the maximum output power rating ofthe transmitter in watts (W) according to the transmitter manufacturer’s specifications.NOTE 1 At 80 MHz and 800 MHz, the higher frequency range applies.NOTE 2 These guidelines may not apply in all situations. Electromagnetic propagation isinfluenced by absorption and reflection by structures, objects and persons.11.8.5 Use of class A deviceNote: the EMISSIONS characteristics of this equipment make it suitable for use in industrial areas andhospitals (CISPR 11 class A). If it is used in a residential environment (for which CISPR 11 class B isnormally required) this equipment might not offer adequate protection to radio-frequencycommunication services. The user might need to take mitigation measures, such as relocating or re-orienting the equipment.
