Power Cord PolarizationThis product is equipped with a polarized alternating-current line plug (a plug having one blade wider thanthe other). This plug will fit into the power outlet onlyone way. This is a safety feature. If you are unable toinsert the plug fully into the outlet, contact your elec-trician to replace your obsolete outlet. Do not defeatthe safety purpose of the polarized plug.13. Power-Cord ProtectionRoute power-supply cords sothey are not likely to bewalked on or pinched byitems placed upon or againstthem, paying particularattention to cords at plugs,convenience receptacles, andthe point where they exitfrom the product.14. Outdoor Antenna GroundingIf an outside antenna or cable system is connected tothis product, be sure the antenna or cable system isgrounded so as to provide some protection againstvoltage surges and built-up static charges. Article 810of the National Electrical Code (USA), ANSI/NFPA 70,provides information on grounding of the mast andsupporting structure, grounding of the lead-in wire toan antenna discharge unit connection to the ground-ing electrodes, and requirements for the groundingelectrode. LightningFor added protection for thisproduct during a lightningstorm, or when product is leftunattended and unused forlong periods of time, unplugit from the wall outlet anddisconnect antenna or cablesystem.
